I help individuals, couples and families feel more connected when life unfolds in unexpected ways. Feelings of isolation and disconnection often occur when stress piles up. Sometimes our lives are turned upside-down in an instant. I believe we all experience times when life feels bigger than our ability to cope. I use attachment and emotionally focused strategies with a family systems approach to help you establish healthy connections with those who matter most to you. Together we can work to build trust,
establish boundaries, heal past wounds, understand current pain and reach new goals for better functioning.
I am a native of Washington state; my husband and I have been married 25 years and have made Cache Valley our home for the past 15. Together we have raised two children and two (very spoiled) dogs. I hold a BA in English, an MA in Human Development and a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy. I have taught university courses in marriage and family topics and have worked as a therapist in medical family therapy and marriage and family therapy clinical settings.
I primarily work using a combination of EMDR, Family Systems, Attachment, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, BPSS, Medical Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Experiential, and Family Resilience.
