I believe everyone has amazing strengths that go untapped. My focus in therapy is client centered and strengths-based. It is my philosophy to help you to develop the skills that will allow you to embrace life, as it happens.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and also licensed as an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor. I have experience with substance abuse disorders in outpatient as well as inpatient settings. I have extensive experience working with individuals and have also facilitated many Chemical Dependency Groups. I have extensive experience working in international as well as domestic adoption.
I am trained in EMDR and ART trauma therapy and have completed additional training specializing in EMDR with children and adolescents. I have training in a variety of treatment modalities; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Therapy Techniques, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and ART.
I enjoy working with adolescents (14 and up) and adults of any age. I have experience treating Addictive Disorders of all types, Anxiety Disorders, Attachment Disorders and other adoption related difficulties, Personality Disorders, many types of Mood/Depressive Disorders, Explosive Disorders, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder.
