Let’s be honest, therapy can be hard and working through the hard moments of your life can be
really difficult. However, therapy is a place where you can relearn to see the inherent good in
yourself, gain new perspectives and work through these really difficult moments in our lives.
Acknowledging that you need therapy and someone else in your corner is a brave step and I am
so proud of you for taking it. I am passionate about helping people feel empowered and I work
hard to provide a space that is safe and accepting for you to grow. I enjoy being there for
people and my goal is to help you learn to trust your own voice and intuition.
After working with Child and Family Services for 2+ years, I also found a deep appreciation for
working with children and parents. Sometimes, parents need help understanding their
children’s behaviors and children may need help understanding these really big emotions that
they have or where they are coming from. Some issues I work with include: anxiety; separation
anxiety; specific phobias; depression; anger management; low self-esteem; ADHD; and life
changes. Playing is a child’s natural form of communication. Through playing, children reveal
unconscious fears, worries, thoughts and wishes. Toys are a child’s words. I look for patterns or
themes, and share my thoughts with the parents to develop a plan for healing.
I primarily enjoy working with women who struggle with issues such as anxiety; depression;
codependency; life transitions; low self-esteem; eating disorders; and body dysmorphia. I
primarily enjoy working with children (ages 4-13) as well.
I believe people are basically good, they just get a little stuck sometimes. I want you to feel
supported and would be honored to help you overcome your challenges.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my family, boating,
skiing, reading a good book, or just classily watching TV with a big bag of popcorn.
