As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Logan, Utah, I believe the challenges we all face are gifts to guide us to a more authentic, fulfilled life. I have great enthusiasm for the courage of men and women who daringly confront issues that steal joy. I believe each person has gifts to re-discover and the capacity to create change and re-direct their lives to thrive. I have worked as a victim's advocate for a local shelter and with police responding to domestic violence. I also served on a sexual assault team, an education specialist for families, a hospice worker, and in residential treatment. I taught a Family Crisis and Intervention distant education class for several years, and served as a guest lecturer for USU. I have years of training for trauma. I have been personally trained by Bessel Van Der Kolk, and taken the advanced master class on the treatment on trauma through the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine. My experience includes multiple years as a group facilitator for trauma recovery, parenting, marriage, and addiction recovery.
